Carhartt Names New General Merchandising Manager

DEARBORN — Carhartt, a premium work wear brand since 1889, has named Alex Guerrero as its new general merchandising manager.

In this role, Guerrero will lead the merchandising and design team, which includes the product design, licensing and category management teams. Guerrero will also direct the company’s product research and development efforts, which includes the development of creative product concepts with external strategic partners.

Known as a product innovator and engaging leader, Guerrero has most recently served as vice president merchandising/general manager of Jockey International’s U.S. Men’s business.  He has also worked for Levi Strauss & Co. and Dockers in a variety of leadership roles.
