Carhartt Announces Black Diamond Group As New Footwear Licensee

New Carhartt-Branded Footwear Available Spring 2012

DEARBORN, Mich. – (June 27, 2011) Carhartt, America’s premium work wear brand since 1889, today announced the selection of the Black Diamond Group, a leading footwear company specializing in performance protective footwear, as the new licensee for Carhartt-branded footwear.
“Black Diamond footwear is built to the highest standards and certifications, which makes it a perfect extension of the Carhartt brand,” said Rick Fecowicz, director of licensing at Carhartt. “They understand the industrial footwear marketplace, which is essential to our core consumer.”
The initial product offering will include 30 styles and will be available to the public through select Carhartt retailers and on for Spring 2012. All styles are waterproof and include exclusive functionality, such as heel guards, OrthoLite® comfort insoles and tongues as well as the Carhartt direct welt construction.
