Camille Nicita, former CEO of Royal Oak-based Gonga was named CEO of Human8 (previously known as InSites Consutling), where she was managing director, North America. She is taking over from co-founder and CEO Kristof De Wulf.
Human8 is based in Ghent, Belgium and its North American headquarters are based in Detroit. De Wulf co-founded the company in 1997 as a spin-off of Belgian-based Vlerick Business School where he was marketing professor and partner.
Nicita joined the start-up market research company, formerly known as Gongos 30 years ago, where she held several leadership positions. She was appointed CEO after the death of founder John Gongos in 2012. Under Nicita’s leadership, the company experienced record growth.
Gongos became part of Human8 at the end of 2021. Nicita operated as the managing director for North America. Nicita is an active member on the board of the Insights Association, a contributing member of the Forbes Agency Council, and official judge of the North American Customer Centricity Awards. Under Nicita’s leadership, the company achieved the Forbes Small Giant award in 2020.

Nicita started as global CEO of Human8 on Oct. 1. Her previous duties were taken over by Katherine Ephlin, who was North America head of operations.
Human8 connects brands with people and culture. The company employs more than 800 people across 24 locations with the goal of making brands “more human” by better understanding people and culture.
