Thomas A. Kabel, attorney, shareholder, and chair of the corporate/real estate practice at Butzel, a national law firm based in Detroit, has been elected to the firm’s board of directors.

Based in the firm’s Troy office, Kabel concentrates his practice on commercial real estate and real estate-related finance. He has been involved in all facets of acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, and development of real property throughout his career.
Kabel’s real estate practice spans a wide range of diverse areas and clients, representing developers, automotive companies, colleges, and universities in all aspects of their real estate needs. He also has extensive experience representing commercial lenders in conventional financing and has served as bank and bond counsel on numerous industrial revenue and other tax-exempt financings.
He earned his J.D. from the Wayne State University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University.
