Butzel Attorney Kurtis T. Wilder Named to Michigan Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee

Kurtis T. Wilder, an attorney at Detroit’s Butzel and former Michigan Supreme Court Justice, has been named to the Executive Committee of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kurtis Wilder to the Michigan Chamber’s Executive Committee of our Board of Directors,” says Jim Holcomb, president and CEO of the chamber. “Volunteer leaders like former Justice Wilder are the lifeblood of the Chamber.

“His range of expertise, leadership skills, and keen policy insights will be tremendous assets in our efforts to advance free enterprise and common-sense policies that foster economic prosperity for all Michiganders. We look forward to his many contributions and thank him for his willingness to serve our members and the state’s business community.”

Wilder is a shareholder with Butzel. He concentrates his practice in litigation, appeals, and mediation and facilitation. He serves as a neutral mediator/arbitrator with New Era ADR, as a senior lecturing fellow at Regent University School of Law, and has appeared as a commentator on “Dan Abrams Live.”

Wilder was the 112th Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. He graduated from the University of Michigan and from the University of Michigan Law School.
