Detroit-based Brooklyn Outdoor, a national outdoor advertising and media services company, has hired Julie Sailus, as sales coordinator. She will also lead Brooklyn’s event division, j’adore Detroit, as project manager.
In her sales coordinator role, Sailus will be responsible for new business generation, marketing and advertising, social media and website management, administrative/clerical work, and personal assistant duties. As project manager for j’adore Detroit, Sailus will contribute to Detroit lifestyle blog content, coordinate events on-premise at the Brooklyn Outdoor loft and off-site at partner venues, staff and manage event personnel and liaise with local non-profits and artisans to curate events with Brooklyn’s national clients by bringing Detroit’s talent to the forefront nationally.
Sailus has more than 10 years of experience in national account and project management. Previously, she served as an event manager in the service industry, where she completed event set-ups, managed food and beverage organizations for day-to-day business, and obtained donations for non-profit events. In addition, she served as account representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and manager of customer relations for the Michigan Conference of Teamsters Welfare Fund.
Sailus, of Detroit, earned her Bachelor of Science from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
