Brian Crissman has been promoted to vice president of health care services at The Christman Co. in Detroit, where he will lead and expand the vital market segment which accounts for approximately 30 percent of Christman’s revenue.

“It is a great honor to recognize Brian’s dedication and hard work,” says Steve Roznowski, president and CEO of The Christman Co. “His understanding of current health care trends, ability to develop relationships, and focus on delivering exceptional client services to this important market made Brian a perfect fit for this critical role at Christman.”

During Crissman’s 26-year career at Christman, he has led some of the company’s largest health care projects. Particularly, through his leadership at Spectrum Health (now Corewell Health), in West Michigan, Crissman has managed the successful completion of hundreds of millions of dollars in new construction and expansion projects.

John O’Toole, The Christman Cos.’ senior vice president of health care services, remains with the company, managing several major health care construction launches that were recently awarded to the company under his guidance.  O’Toole, while not planning to retire immediately, will partner with Crissman creating a mentorship relationship that will allow the company to smoothly transition after he does retire.

“This succession planning provides us the opportunity to continue offering top-notch service to each market we serve,” says O’Toole. “Brian is an energetic leader who has extensive experience directing large, complex health care projects. His history and ability to successfully deliver upon our promises will be key for Christman’s continued growth as a national healthcare construction provider.”

Crissman will immediately provide oversight to Christman’s health care project teams and focus on building relationships across each of the eight offices in the company’s five states.
