FARMINGTON HILLS — Botsford Health Care has opened its new 51,000-square-foot business facility, located at 27555 Farmington Rd., just north of the I-696 freeway in Farmington Hills.
Botsford Health Care — encompassing Botsford Hospital, Parastar/Community EMS, and the Botsford Commons Senior Community — will relocate 250 employees and four health care functions to this facility:
 

- Parastar/Community EMS Communications Center: A new advanced technology center that receives a high volume of 911 and non-emergency patient transportation calls. 
 

- Corporate Finance Department: Responsible for the financial reporting of 15 Botsford Health Care entities. Botsford Health Care’s Payroll handles this function for 4,354 employees in 11 different companies spread over three states. The organization’s accounts payable processes 80,000 annual invoices. 
 

- Parastar Billing Office: Responsible for processing the billing for 18 ambulance companies and fire departments that are located in Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and New Jersey. 
 

- System Business Office: Responsible for accounting functions for Botsford Hospital, the Botsford Clinic System, and Botsford’s Laboratory Services.
Botsford Hospital each year cares for approximately 16,000 inpatients and more than 60,000 emergency and trauma patients with a team of 2,500 employees, 300 volunteers and more than 600 physicians. A not-for-profit hospital, Botsford provided almost $10.5 million in community benefit during its 2011 fiscal year.
