Bodman Attorney Appointed to State Pipeline Safety Board

Bodman attorney R. Craig Hupp has been appointed to the recently formed Michigan Pipeline Safety Advisory Board. 

The 15-member board is comprised of representatives of the governor’s cabinet, federal response agencies, the tourism industry, environmental and conservation organizations, pipeline operators, the oil and gas industry, and the public.  Hupp was appointed to represent the general public on the board.

 Hupp, of Grosse Pointe, counsels clients with regard to all major environmental laws. He has served as plaintiff or defense counsel in numerous environmental suits. He has represented clients in a wide variety of commercial and local government matters and litigation. He is a registered professional engineer in Michigan.  He has taught environmental law at Wayne State University Law School.  He is a director of The Ecology Center and of Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision.

Hupp holds degrees in mechanical engineering and transportation planning .
