Butzel Long attorney and shareholder Jennifer Consiglio of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills’ office has been elected chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law Section.

Consiglio practices business law at Butzel Long. At the firm, she serves as an adviser for private and public clients focusing on aspects including formation, governance, contracting, and operations. In addition, she also advises on complex business transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, private debt and equity financings, private and public offerings, and securities law compliance.

Previously, she served as vice chair and council member of the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section. Also, Consiglio is a member and former chair of Butzel Long’s Pro Bono Committee and is involved in providing pro bono legal advice and services. She has been named a DBusiness Top Lawyer.

At Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., she received a bachelor’s degree from the School of Foreign Service. She is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C., where she was executive notes editor of The George Washington University International Law Review.
