BLOOMFIELD HILLS — Alisa Peskin-Shepherd, divorce attorney and mediator with more than two decades of legal experience, recently opened her own firm under the branding of Transitions Legal.
Transitions Legal, with a new website (transitionslegal.com), is a full-service family law firm that embraces a mediative philosophy to guiding clients through a dignified divorce process. Peskin-Shepherd encourages clients to not only resolve currently pressing issues leading to the dissolution of a marriage, but she also guides her clients toward looking down the road so that all outcomes are optimal for the entire family.
An approved mediator statewide, Peskin-Shepherd is specially trained in a wide variety of legal focuses that aid her work with families. She has acted as a guardian-ad-litem, protecting the interests of children within the legal system, and has special training in domestic violence through the State Bar of Michigan Open Justice Commission. She speaks widely and leads workshops on topics related to divorce, counseling and mediation.
