DEARBORN—After nearly two years of serving only dinner, Bistro 222 in Dearborn is now offering lunch as well.
“We’re very excited about what’s happening at the restaurant,” says Michael Chamas, owner of the restaurant. “We’ve added old favorites back to the menu which has really pleased our patrons.”
The afternoon menu features options that range in price from $9 to $16 and include the Capra Piccante pizza, topped with goat cheese, fresh arugula, caramelized onion, white sauce, pine nuts, red pepper flakes; and the Eggplant Tower, which consists of breaded and grilled pieces of eggplant served with spinach, fresh vegetables, and housemade red sauce.
The eatery, at 22266 Michigan Ave., has also added a chef table option, which patrons and businesses can book for up to eight guests to dine on chef-selected and prepared dishes paired with wines.
The restaurant, which serves beer and wine, has applied for a Class C Liquor permit, which they hope to have sometime in December or January, Chamas says. In the meantime, they plan to install a fireplace and fine wine cellar as well.
“The wine cellar will allow us to carry and properly store a bigger and better wine selection,” Chamas says. “We’re one of the few restaurants around that is allowed to re-cork unfinished bottles for patrons to take home.”
Bistro 222 serves lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
