The Belle Isle Nature Zoo will host its seventh annual Boo at the Nature Zoo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 31.
“This annual event provides a great way for families to get into the Halloween spirit,” says Ron Kagan, director and CEO of the Detroit Zoological Society. “It’s a fun and safe way to go trick-or-treating in a unique and beautiful setting.”
Children are encouraged to wear costumes and bring treat bags as Halloween treats will be provided to all who attend. Guests can go on a scavenger hunt and walk an indoor forest trail to search for the treats. All Boo at the Nature Zoo activities are free.
The Belle Isle Nature Zoo is located at the east end of Belle Isle near the Blue Heron Lagoon. Admission to the Nature Zoo is free. However, a State of Michigan Recreation Passport is required for all personal vehicles to enter Belle Isle State Park.
