Beaumont Hospital in Trenton has appointed Jonathan Kaper, M.D., as its chief medical officer. He will also serve as the hospital’s patient safety officer and oversee site-related patient safety and quality activities.
Dr. Kaper, of Superior Township, is a private-practice anesthesiologist and has served as the chief of anesthesia at the Trenton hospital. Previously, he was the medical director of the Oakwood Southshore Ambulatory Center.
In his new role, Dr. Kaper will oversee overall hospital performance and develop the vision and strategic plan for clinical activities. His responsibilities will include delivery of care and service excellence for patients, physicians and staff; recruiting, and retaining a diverse clinical staff; promoting the growth of clinical programs, and overseeing continuing medical education opportunities.
Dr. Kaper earned his medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
