Barton Malow, a Southfield-based construction company, has named Brandon Booth as its chief legal officer to lead all legal matters throughout the construction enterprise, and Nerissa Morris, as the new chief people, culture, and external relations officer.
Booth has a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Michigan State University in East Lansing and participated in Barton Malow’s LEAPS internship program in 2005 and 2006, and then worked as a project engineer with Barton Malow’s K12 team from 2007 to 2009.
He graduated from law school in 2010 and now returns to Barton Malow after 14 years practicing law at the Detroit-based law firm Honigman, where he was an equity partner specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other transactional matters.
Brandon works out of Barton Malow’s Southfield headquarters and reports to president and CEO Ryan Maibach.
Morris brings more than 30 years of experience in human resources, community affairs, and external relations of large, complex global and domestic organizations to her new role. She’s spent periods of her career at Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn, Volvo Car Corp., and the University of Miami. Most recently, she served as the senior vice president and chief human resources and diversity officer at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Morris is involved with many professional organizations. She’s currently a member of the International Women’s Forum and has recently served on boards including the Cincinnati Regional USA Chamber and ArtsWave.
She also is a member of the Xavier University President’s Advisory Council, where she earned her Bachelor of Sciences and MBA, and previously served on the Williams College of Business Advisory Board.
