Baker College Appoints New Dean of the College of Business

Baker College has appointed Cleamon Moorer Jr. as its new dean of the College of Business.

Moorer was formerly dean of the School of Business at Madonna University in Livonia, and has held positions as a professor, lecturer, management consultant, business executive, and telecommunications engineer.

He is the author of “From Failure to Promise: 360 Degrees,” an autobiographical story of how he overcame flunking out of college to become an engineer, college professor, and dean. He has also published another book as well as multiple academic journal articles, and gives back through his charity, Dr. C. Moorer and Associates Inc., which provides scholarships and grants to students and educators.

In 2015, Moorer was recognized in DBusiness magazine’s “30 in Their Thirties” feature.

Moorer, of Grand Blanc, holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Kettering University, an MBA and a Master of Science in management and organizational behavior from Benedictine University, and a Doctor of Business Administration in management from Argosy University.
