The city of Auburn Hills will host activities and festivals throughout the months of September and October as part of its Autumn Thrills series.
“With help from our business community and recreation department, we’ve developed a diverse calendar of events with the family in mind,” says Mayor Kevin McDaniel. “It is our goal that through these events, families will build upon current traditions and create new ones right here in Auburn Hills.”
The 19th Annual Parade of Stars Bluegrass Festival will take place Sept. 12 at the Civic Center Park, 1827 N. Squirrel Rd. The festival will feature performances from The Grascals, Special Consensus, Detour, and Feller and Hill. General admission is $5, and children 12 and under are free.
A cleanup of the Clinton River event is scheduled for Sept. 19. Volunteers are asked to meet at the River Woods Park, M-59 and Squirrel Road. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the clean-up is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon.
Other events scheduled for the series include a Community Health Fair & Vaccine Clinic, (Oct. 3); the 18th Annual Auburn Hills Fall Festival in the Woods, (Oct. 10); 24th Annual Halloween Trail, (Oct. 22); and the 10th Annual Spooktacular trick-or-treating, (Oct. 25).
