GROSSE POINTE PARK — Atwater in the Park was named one of America’s eight best new beer halls by Jetsetter.com, Trip Advisor’s exclusive travel community.
The Grosse Pointe Park brewery, which Jetsetter describes as “the most traditional” hall on the list, ranked alongside establishments in Oregon, Illinois, New York, and elsewhere.
Atwater in the Park offers “something for everyone,” says owner Mark Rieth. “We wanted to create a fun community atmosphere in a unique indoor outdoor space where guests have a full selection of beers, food, and lively conversation. We think we’ve succeeded and Jetsetter recognition gives us an important stamp of approval.”
The brewpub and biergarden opened last June and features 40 drafts inside and 10 more in the restaurant’s outdoor bier garden. The company built the tap house on the site of a former church.
