On June 1, attorney Eric Steinberg began his tenure as the 72nd President of the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ). His term runs until May 31, 2025.
Steinberg, an attorney with the Law Offices of Lee Steinberg, represents plaintiffs in all areas of personal injury law, with a focus on automobile negligence, recovery of Michigan no-fault benefits, and premises liability. Steinberg joined MAJ in 2006 and serves on the organization’s Executive Board and Amicus Committee.
“It is my distinct pleasure to serve as the 72nd President of this distinguished organization,” Steinberg states. “We have a promising year ahead, filled with ample opportunities that I know we will take in stride. I’m eager to work alongside the great minds of my peers as we continue to make progress in our efforts to advocate and seek justice for Michiganders.
“Trial lawyers play a crucial role in our justice system, tirelessly advocating for fairness and ensuring that every individual has a voice. Their dedication to upholding justice and defending the rights of the underrepresented is vital in maintaining the balance of our legal system. I am honored to collaborate with these dedicated professionals every day.”
Steinberg earned a B.A from the University of Michigan in 2001 and a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2006. While undergoing his legal education, Steinberg worked in the employment discrimination law clinic at Chicago-Kent, helping victims of discrimination receive the compensation and justice they deserved.
“Eric is a considerate and motivated attorney, and we are delighted to welcome him as our 72nd President,” says Stephen Pontoni, executive director of MAJ. “Eric consistently approaches his work with exceptional enthusiasm, meticulous care, and attention to detail. We are confident he will lead MAJ with integrity throughout his tenure and serve as an exemplary representative of our organization.”
