Association for Corporate Growth Names New President

Doug LaLone, a partner with Fishman, Stewart, Yamaguchi PLLC, has been elected president of Association for Corporate Growth Detroit Chapter, a 350 member nonprofit business organization of merger and acquisition and corporate growth professionals.

LaLone had served as ACG Detroit Program Committee Chairman prior to his new role as president.

LaLone, chair of Fishman’s Strategic IP Practice Group, counsels start-up companies, private equity, venture capital, and investment bank funded firms on intellectual property strategies, due diligence and portfolio management concerns. He works on both the buy and sell side of M&A Acquisitions.

He is a member of the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Michigan Optimist Club.

LaLone is a graduate of Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology, and he obtained his law degree from Valparaiso University.
