1575

The Association for Corporate Growth in Detroit has been named Chapter of the Year by ACG, an international organization of business professionals representing 57 chapters and 14,500 members worldwide. The award was based on self-assessment in leadership, finance, membership, programs and marketing along with benchmark data and ACG engagement.

“We are very honored to have received the ACG Chapter of the Year Award,” says Doug LaLone, ACG Detroit president and a patent attorney with Fishman, Stewart PLLC in Bloomfield Hills. “Our board members and committee members work remarkably hard and this award is a testament to their collective efforts in driving middle market America.”

LaLone says this is the first time the Detroit chapter received the top award.

Founded nearly 30 years ago, ACG Detroit has 375 members including professionals in mergers and acquisitions, accountants, bankers, investment bankers, financial experts, attorneys, consultants, and others in southeast Michigan.

ACG Detroit offers its members a schedule of informational, educational and networking meetings throughout the year including its highly popular signature events such as Automotive Outlook (January), Economic Update (February), M&A Conference (June), Golf Outing (September), and Mingle Bells (Charity-December).  On April 12, the Detroit Chapter will host its first M&A All Star Awards at the Townsend in Birmingham.

Chapters in Minneapolis and Raleigh Durham, N.C. also won the honor as Chapter of the Year.
