Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren Names Vice President of Nursing

Warren’s Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital has named Kim Ronnisch vice president of nursing, effective Aug. 27. Ronnisch will also oversee nursing and the market-wide Visual Monitoring Hub at Ascension River District Hospital in East China Township, south of Port Huron.

Ronnisch has been with Ascension Southeast Michigan for nearly 20 years. She has served in various leadership roles at the hospital and regional levels, most recently as vice president of nursing and operations at Ascension River District Hospital, where she led the development and implementation of a sustainable model of care based on the community’s needs.

Ascension operates 15 hospitals and hundreds of related health care facilities that together employ about 26,000 associates. The nonprofit provided almost $230 million in community benefit and care of those living in poverty in fiscal year 2017. It has served Michigan for more than 140 years and is a faith-based health care organization. Ascension is the largest nonprofit health system in the U.S. and the world’s largest Catholic health system.
