WIXOM — ArtServe Michigan, a statewide arts and cultural advocacy organization, has changed its name to Creative Many Michigan.

The change emphasizes the evolution and inclusivity of the organization’s work for arts, culture and creative and design industries in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors and broadens the function of its efforts as an economic development advocate on their behalf,” says Jennifer Goulet, president and CEO. Additionally, Goulet says the name change, has refined its mission “to develop creative people, creative places and the creative economy for a competitive Michigan.”

Under its new identity, the organization remains committed to such initiatives as research and reporting, advocacy and public policy leadership, legal support, professional practice programs for artists and the sharing of its resources, networks and information.

“Creative Many Michigan embraces the history of ArtServe Michigan’s work and achievements with traditional arts communities while allowing the organization to reach out to new creative communities to supplement and further impact its work,”Goulet adds.

ArtServe Michigan has provided artists, creative practitioners and arts and cultural organizations with knowledge, networks, advocacy and resources to position them for achieving their goals since 2008.
