WARREN — Art Van Furniture has promoted David Van Elslander to the newly created position of senior vice president, Art Van Furniture and president, Art Van PureSleep.
In his new position, Van Elslander will be responsible for the overall guidance and growth of Art Van PureSleep. He will oversee new product, manufacturing, marketing, and sales initiatives for Art Van PureSleep in freestanding stores, in-store galleries, and franchise locations.
Van Elslander has held various positions in sales, merchandising, distribution and customer service at Art Van. He left Art Van Furniture in 1990 to serve as vice president of merchandising for Scott Shuptrine, and rejoined the company January 2006.
