ROYAL OAK — Art Van Elslander, chairman and CEO, Art Van Furniture, handed out nearly $200,000 in grants to six deserving metro Detroit nonprofits at its Woodward Dream Cruise Bash last Friday.
Local celebrities and more than 100 guests were among the attendees celebrating participants in the Art Van Million Dollar Charity Challenge.
Grant recipients included ACCESS (2nd place: $60,000), New Day Foundation for Families (3rd Place: $50,000), Vison Hope Community Development Corp. (4th place: $40,000), Hope Center in Macomb (8th place, $15,000), The Stephen Tulloch Foundation (9th place: $10,000 grant), and National Council of Jewish Women, Greater Detroit Section (10th place: $7,500).
