DEARBORN — The American Arab Professional Network, part of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, honored Beaumont Health System with the organization’s 2014 Champion of Diversity Award.
“We created the Champion of Diversity Award to recognize and commend organizations, like Beaumont Health System, for its support of diversity and inclusion in the workplace,” says Ali Dagher, board chairman of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2003, Beaumont Cancer Institute’s Minority Outreach Program has conducted more than 50 education and health screening events for desolate or vulnerable demographics, including the African American, Arab/Chaldean, Native American, Hispanic/Latino, and Southeast Asian communities. These programs have reached more than 10,000 patients in metro Detroit.
