Herb Allen has joined the Washington, D.C., office of Detroit law firm Honigman as a partner in the firm’s antitrust group within the litigation department.
Allen represents clients in antitrust litigation matters and defends mergers and acquisition transactions under review by the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice, and state antitrust enforcers.
His experience spans a range of heavily scrutinized industries, including health care, pharmaceuticals, private equity, and technology.
“Herb’s addition to our litigation team significantly enhances our capabilities,” says Michael Huget, chair of the litigation department at Honigman. “His deep expertise in antitrust matters will undoubtedly strengthen our offerings and elevate the services we provide to our clients.”
Outside of litigation, Allen is expected to play a role in providing counsel to firm clients on antitrust issues in transactions, government investigations, white collar matters, and corporate matters.
“While Herb is joining our litigation department, his expertise extends far beyond that team,” says Harold Fox, managing partner of the Washington, D.C., office of Honigman. “In the current antitrust environment, he will be an invaluable asset to our deal teams. Herb’s presence enhances our bench strength, allowing us counsel clients as they navigate the evolving antitrust landscape more effectively with comprehensive solutions.”
Allen joins Honigman from Polsinelli PC, where he served as an antitrust and litigation shareholder. He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
