ANN ARBOR – Ann Arbor SPARK, whose mission is to advance innovation-based economic development in the greater Ann Arbor region, recently launched the first in a four video series highlighting its work.  Available on its website and YouTube channel, each of the videos focuses on a different area of the organization’s work, and is designed to show how Ann Arbor SPARK helps businesses and talent to create economic opportunity in the region.

The videos were created by Emmy award winner Beth Tanenhaus Winsten of Ann Arbor’s tinyBigPictureshows.

“We wanted to create a quick reference for those wondering ‘What is SPARK?’ and are taking a look at each of our core offerings,” said Donna Doleman, Ann Arbor SPARK vice president of marketing and talent.  “It’s important to our region’s economy that business looking to start-up, expand or relocate understand what SPARK offers.  It’s also important that both businesses and individuals understand what SPARK is doing to enhance the region’s talent by connecting job seekers with growing businesses and offering programs that bridge the knowledge gap.”

The videos will be used as part of Ann Arbor SPARK’s engagement with Pure Michigan, as a vehicle for marketing the region to those outside of the state.

The first video, an introduction to Ann Arbor SPARK, is available now.  It features Ann Arbor SPARK’s board chair, Stephen Forrest, who discusses the importance of economic development in a knowledge-based economy.  Ann Arbor SPARK CEO Paul Krutko offers an overview of the organization’s services and its impact on the region’s economy.

Upcoming videos, to be released over the next two months, will take an up-close look at Ann Arbor SPARK’s entrepreneurial talent and business development services.
