Ann Arbor SPARK Accepting Applications for Fall Entrepreneur Boot Camp

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ — Ann Arbor SPARK is now accepting applications for fall Entrepreneur Boot Camp. In this 18th installment of the popular program, to be held November 4-5, 2010 at Kensington Court in Ann Arbor, Entrepreneur Boot Camp participants will receive intensive business coaching from experienced entrepreneurs and experts.

“Ann Arbor SPARK’s Entrepreneur Boot Camp program has a proven track record of helping companies get started on the right path,” said Michael A. Finney, Ann Arbor SPARK CEO and president. “Past participants include Compendia Bioscience, Current Motor Company and Menlo Innovations.”

Ann Arbor SPARK’s Entrepreneur Boot Camp is a biannual event that offers two days of business planning and preparation designed to help early stage technology businesses increase their chances for attracting additional funding, finding resources and achieving success. A unique combination of hands-on learning and one-on-one mentoring, the event features nationally noted speakers on entrepreneurship, successful local entrepreneurs and investors.

Ann Arbor SPARK Entrepreneur Boot Camp includes an “after care” program that helps further the chances of entrepreneurial success for participating start-ups. At the conclusion of Boot Camp, every graduating company is eligible to receive up to $5,000 in business consulting through Ann Arbor SPARK as well as other critical start-up support:

  • Access to SPARK Expert Resource Board – a monthly business assistance roundtable
  • Entrepreneur Education and Power Lunch events
  • Mentoring and business-critical introductions
  • Drop-in space usage at SPARK East including conference rooms, copier and WiFi

Ann Arbor SPARK’s Entrepreneur Boot Camp costs $1,500 for a team of two. Discounts are available to Ann Arbor companies. This price includes books, materials, and meals.
