Andrea Gumushian Joins Varnum’s Data Privacy and Mobility Teams

Varnum, a Michigan law firm providing business and personal legal services with offices throughout the state, announced that Andrea Gumushian has joined the firm’s data privacy and mobility teams. She will practice remotely from Washington, D.C.

Gumushian advises leading mobility and technology providers on domestic and international data privacy laws and regulations. Her practice includes drafting and reviewing data protection impact assessments, privacy policies, and product-specific privacy notices. She additionally helps clients implement policies and procedures for responding to consumer rights requests and data breaches.

Prior to joining Varnum, Gumushian served on the global privacy team for a leading provider of integrated vehicle lifecycle and fleet management software and services. She is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and state of California.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College, her master’s degree from Tuft’s University, and her J.D. from William and Mary Law School.
