ROYAL OAK — Andiamo restaurant in Royal Oak recently completed a $150,000 renovation project in the dining area, rolled out a revamped menu featuring new recipes, a new logo, and the title of “Trattoria” to its name. The updates are part of the company’s ongoing emphasis on brand renewal.
“Diners who come to Royal Oak have more and more options these days and the redesign of Andiamo Trattoria’s dining room and our new menu offerings will keep us current and on trend as a dining destination in this area,” says Joe Vicari, Andiamo founder and CEO. “Our commitment remains to provide an exceptional dining experience visually and, of course, with our made-from-scratch Italian cuisine that has been our cornerstone here at Royal Oak for the past 16 years.”
The renovation, the first in nearly 10 years, transformed the restaurant to a more rustic, casual dining experience with the use of reclaimed barn wood, soft accent lighting and warm color scheme in keeping with a Trattoria style. The upgrades also include the addition of a new sound system and artfully-framed plasma TV screens throughout the dining area which will air short clips from classic action movies/shows such as The Godfather, Rocky, Goodfellas, The Sopranos, as well as late night music videos. The outdoor signage showcases the new modern and lively Andiamo Trattoria logo.
While Andiamo’s signature dishes still remain on the menu, the new items offer diners more choices, including several gluten-free options. Some of the new recipes include shrimp scampi, milk-fed veal and Amish chicken – available in four different preparations, free-range brick chicken, and Toscana Mahi Mahi. Additionally, the revamped menu offers made-to-order artisanal flatbreads with a variety of toppings and fillings. Andiamo also revamped its plating presentations and redesigned the menu.
