Alternative Revenue Development Names Chief Strategy Officer

TROY — Jason Raguso has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer at Alternative Revenue Development, a company headquartered in Troy, which establishes new, non-traditional and sustainable revenue streams for school districts via the creation of commercially sponsored networks.

Raguso, who has a BA from University of Michigan and an MBA from University of Southern California, will work with ARD to scale sales and drive profitability as ARD continues to grow. His executive track record includes building companies, growing revenue and leading high performing teams, with specialties in analytics and decision sciences, organizational design, and solution development. 

Raguso’s previous title was Senior Vice President at Mu Sigma where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team helping grow the company from $4MM in sales to over $100MM in sales in five years. Working closely with companies which included Walgreens, UnitedHealth, Whirlpool, Best Buy, Travelers and Wal-Mart, he was chartered with driving customer value and extending decision support relationships. “My focus will be to deliver a flexible architecture a growing organization such as ours requires in meeting our objectives,” says Raguso. “The business model is unique, so the approach needs to mirror that.” 

A frequent speaker on applying analytics and next generation decision support to businesses, Raguso lives with his wife and three daughters in Clarkston. 

ARD’s UNITE Program provides sponsorship banners on school district websites. More than 50 Michigan school districts are signed up to the program and the number is growing every month. For some school districts, UNITE expects six figure incomes in the 2012-2013 school year.
