Southfield-based Airfoil, a marketing communications and public relations agency for global technology brands, has appointed Jon Gunnells as its new social and digital media manager.
Gunnells, of Clawson, will be responsible for ensuring that social and digital strategies are embedded in account teams and client programs across the agency, as well as assist in developing the knowledge of digital, social media and online communities with clients, new business prospects and the Airfoil staff.
Previously, Gunnells was a manager at Digitas LBI, a global marketing and technology agency where he managed the social channels for General Motors. Gunnells’ experience also includes working for Little Caesars as the social media manager, and Lowe Campbell Ewald as a social media analyst.
Gunnells holds a bachelor’s in journalism from Michigan State University.
