Southfield-based environment development company AIREA Inc. has announced the hiring of Melissa R. Price as president.

Price has more than 20 years of industry experience and was most recently the director of strategy for Leon Speakers in Ann Arbor. There she served as an adviser to the board and executive team on strategic account development where she worked with clients like Ford, Apple, Sonos, and Shinola.

From 2001-2016, Price worked for Quicken Loans, where she led the move of Quicken Loans headquarters from the suburbs to downtown Detroit. She then co-founded and became CEO of Pophouse, a commercial interior design firm.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join Piston Group in leading AIREA’s continued growth and success,” says Price. “With my experience as director of facilities, especially during a time where employee connection and engagement matter most, I look forward to working with our clients on designing creative and safe solutions for wherever their employees work, home or office.”

Price actively sits on the board of Bee’s in the D and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

AIREA Inc. is a private, full-service Michigan Minority Business and a Haworth preferred dealership. They are part of the Piston Group family of companies, owned by former Detroit Piston Vinnie Johnson.
