A. Douglas Rothwell Added to ITC Holding Corp. Board of Directors

ITC Holdings Corp., an electricity transmission company headquartered in Novi, has appointed A. Douglas Rothwell to its board of directors. Rothwell will be one of 11 members on the board.

“Doug’s record of success in public service, business, and nonprofit organizations will be of great value to our board,” says Linda Apsey, president and CEO of ITC. “His diverse experiences and current pursuits will contribute to ITC’s leadership in developing modern electric transmission infrastructure solutions.”

Rothwell brings 12 years of experience working as an executive in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors including serving as president and CEO of Business Leaders for Michigan, president of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., chair of Gov. Rick Snyder’s transition team, the State of Delaware’s chief of staff, manager for General Motors Co.’s global real estate portfolio, and chief administrative officer at Bank of America’s credit card subsidiary.

Currently, Rothwell serves as chair for the Michigan Economic Development Corp., the American Center for Mobility, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s board of visitors. Additionally, Rothwell serves on the board of advisors for UNC athletics, UNC Chancellor’s Philanthropic Council, and the Renaissance Venture Capital fund.

Rothwell received a bachelor degree of arts at the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
