A busy plastic surgeon, Dr. Christina Busuito joined her father as part of Somerset Plastic Surgery. She completed her cosmetic surgery fellowship training at Beverly Hills Physicians in Beverly Hills, California. A native of Michigan, Dr. Busuito graduated from Albion College, received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, and completed her plastic surgery residency at DMC/WSU.
If the name sounds familiar, it is because her father, Dr. Michael Busuito, is a plastic surgeon of over 30 years, who she joined in practice.
“When I was young, I could see the impact he made, and I thought that was really special,” says Dr. Christina Busuito. “Now it has come full circle to see how I can make a difference in my own patient’s lives.”
Having trained in Beverly Hills, Dr. Christina brings a fresh set of surgical skills to the practice. Her aesthetic fellowship encompassed a wide range of training from facial aesthetics to breast and body. Additionally, she also has extensive training in reconstructive surgery and offers those services from breast, due to breast cancer, to facial reconstruction for skin cancer, and many other services.
“When it comes to cosmetic surgery, many younger people are requesting procedures,” says Dr. Busuito. “Every surgical procedure should be considered serious, and it is important that patients do their research and ask questions.”
Dr. Busuito goes to multiple metro Detroit area hospitals, including Royal Oak and Troy Beaumont, Ascension Providence Rochester, and St. John Hospital. Considering the wide breadth of training and a fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Busuito has the experience needed to give the best results. She and her team work hard to listen to each patient’s specific needs and individualize treatment to help achieve a great surgical outcome.
