For years, Dr. Julia Aharonov has been recognized as HOUR Magazine’s “Top Doc” in Addiction Medicine. She is the Owner and Anesthesiologist of Advanced Treatment Center which specializes in IV Ketamine Therapy and a 3-Day Opiate Detox.
Within Advanced Treatment Center, Dr. Aharonov offers two different treatment modalities;
The Ketamine Institute of Michigan offers supervised IV Ketamine Infusions. Time Magazine, NPR, CNN, Yale University, and The National Institute of Mental Health say that IV Ketamine Therapy is the “ most important treatment breakthrough in decades” for patients with unresolved chronic pain, treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, Phantom Pain, Trigeminal Neuralgia, RSD, Fibromyalgia, Migraines, and Neuropathy. On the first visit, patients consult with Dr. Aharonov and then have their first Ketamine infusion. The doctor expertly individualizes treatments and monitors patients throughout their infusion. She has been gratified to see tremendous improvements in both depression and in the reduction of pain levels in most of her patients.
The other part of the treatment center is Advanced Rapid Detox, where Dr. Aharonov treats patients who are addicted or dependent to all opiates- pain pills, Heroin, Fentanyl, Suboxone, Methadone, and Kratom. Patients sleep comfortably through their withdrawals under IV Sedation as Dr. Aharonov performs an Opiate Reversal. Patients are given the opiate blocker, Vivitrol, to eliminate cravings. Patients also receive counseling to address their core issues which leads to long-term recovery. To integrate the two parts of her practice, Dr. Ahronov discovered that IV Ketamine Therapy helps post-detox patients with depression, pain and post-acute withdrawals. She has been performing this life-saving 3-day detox procedure since 2007 and is grateful to have made an impact during the Opiate Epidemic.
Dr. Aharonov had a vision to create Advanced Treatment Center so that patients could find a solution to their issues while receiving individualized medical, physical, spiritual, and emotional support from her and her staff of twenty-six compassionate and knowledgeable professionals.
She received her Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Anesthesia Residency at the University of Michigan and St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Ketamine Physicians. Dr. Aharonov has been an Anesthesiologist for over 20 years in General, Trauma, Orthopedic, Vascular, Thoracic, Obstetric, Plastic, Ocular, and Outpatient Anesthesia.
She oversees the Advanced Treatment Center which is located at 23800 Orchard Lake Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48336.
