Lingco Language Labs in Lansing made the list of five promising education technology (edtech) startups that will get new investment and business advice from the LearnLaunch Fund + Accelerator, an edtech investor in Boston.
The program is called Breakthrough to Scale, designed to assist startups that are committed to developing solutions that offer future-proof learning, earning, and collaboration opportunities through new technology and human-centered design.
Lingco Language Labs was chosen because of its adaptive language learning platform for K-12 and higher education. It assesses students’ language competencies and provides insights and content to instructors for better course structuring and helping students achieve proficiency.
All five startups selected, including companies in California, Israel, Florida, and Texas, will embark on a 12-week course that will teach their representatives about LearnLaunch Accelerator’s Breakthrough to Scale program. The course is primarily conducted virtually.
During this period, the companies also will learn how to strengthen their product-market fit, expand their customer base, and establish scalable operational frameworks. From there, the founders will receive support from mentors, venture partners, and funders within LearnLaunch’s network.
Following the program, each company will be prepared for subsequent stages of funding, deployment, and operational work. The program will culminate with a demo day scheduled for the week of Oct. 2 in New York as part of Edtech Week.
