Viking Group Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of fire protection systems, has expanded its extinguishing system that is safer for sensitive electronic equipment making them well-suited for data centers, archives, evidence storage, turbines, diesel generators, and more.

Based in Caledonia, near Grand Rapids, the company’s Oxeo extinguishing system uses an inert gas system to help in the extinguishing of high-challenge fires using nitrogen or argon and thus leaves no residue on sensitive electronic equipment.

“Viking’s Oxeo Extinguishing System protects extremely vulnerable applications like other gas suppressants, but it’s unique in that it won’t result in secondary damage or any environmental harm,” says Martin Workman, a senior vice president at Viking. “Recently, the Oxeo offering has been expanded to include a new ‘constant flow’ option for systems in addition to the initial pressure reducing variation.”
