Haraz Coffee House was founded in Dearborn in 2018 by Hamzah Nasser, and in 2021 he started franchising his Yemini coffee concept. It now has 21 locations in nine states, including five in Michigan.
More than 130 more sites are contracted for development across the U.S. in the next five years, with plans to expand into Canada and the Middle East.
All of the Haraz Coffee Houses serve freshly roasted organic Yemeni coffee. Other offerings include cardamom-infused Harazi Coffee, saffron and pistachio lattes, and Adani Chai, a black tea mixed with cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
To train his baristas and to prepare his coffee for shipment around the country, Nasser opened the Yemeni Arabica Coffee School in 2021, also in Dearborn.
