Singapore-based Paeonia Industries, a manufacturer of analytical equipment for energy testing and a distributor of scientific testing instrumentation, has acquired the Savant Group, a consortium of established companies in Midland. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1969, the Savant Group began as a consulting firm specializing in advanced lubrication technology for the automotive and oil industries.
Over the years, it has evolved into a group of companies consisting of Savant Labs, Tannas Co., King Refrigeration, Institute of Materials, Excell Manufacturing Inc., and the Center for Quality Assurance, providing products and services to equipment manufacturers and the global lubricant industry.
Paeonia Industries has a diverse operational footprint extending across North America, Western Europe, and Asia. Among the companies within Paeonia Industries is CFR Engines Inc. in Pewaukee, Wisc. CFR does laboratory fuel testing, with its proprietary internal combustion testing technology tracing back to 1929.
Paeonia Industries is the operating platform of industrial manufacturing assets of the Paeonia Group.
The Savant Group of companies state they have experienced significant growth in business and, with the support of Paeonia Industries, plans to further strengthen capabilities going forward.
