Realcomp II Ltd. in Farmington Hills, the largest multiple listing real estate service in Michigan, and Seattle-based Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS), the largest MLS in that region, have signed a data-share agreement that brings the two real estate markets closer together. The data-sharing agreement is effective immediately.

Realcomp serves nearly 14,700 brokers, agents, and appraisers in nearly 2,400 subscribing offices locally, while NWMLS serves more than  2,500 member offices and over 30,000 brokers and appraisers throughout the Northwest/Seattle area.

This partnership now totals more than 44,000 real estate professionals serving hundreds of thousands of consumers in the years to come.

“We are continuing to expand the geographic reach of our MLS through the IntraMatrix platform, and this cooperative agreement with NWMLS is another significant geographic next step,” says Karen Kage, CEO of Realcomp II Ltd. “We are pleased to provide many new opportunities for our real estate professionals to better serve their buyers and sellers, with much more to come.”

The NWMLS signing follows similar partnerships Realcomp signed last year with Southeast Florida MLS in Miami and Georgia’s First MLS.

“The launch of the Data Partners program with Realcomp and other MLSs across the country is an exciting advancement that further empowers our member brokers in the Pacific Northwest,” says Justin Haag, president and CEO of NWMLS. “This initiative provides access to listings, market data, and professional networks, creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Members and MLS subscribers, respectively, can access Northwest Multiple Listing Service and Realcomp’s listings using their native Matrix platforms and vice versa — essentially a referral network between the organizations with no new fees or extra costs to brokers or agents.

“This progressive alignment is good for the real estate industry and consumers,” Kage says. “In a fast-changing market, the need for cooperation, transparency, and reach is stronger than ever.”
