Ares Management Corp. in Los Angeles has acquired Totally Automated Systems in Rochester Hills to complement Ares’ launch of Automated Industrial Robotics Inc. (AIR), also in Los Angeles. Financial details were not released.
AIR is organized to capitalize on increasing global demand for manufacturing automation solutions. TA Systems was purchased because of its 45-year history of designing and manufacturing machines.

AIR also bought Modular Automated in Shannon, Ireland. Modular has been operating for nearly 40 years and is an automation solutions provider in the medical technology industry.
As part of its long-term growth plan, Ares will continue to focus on acquiring different industrial automation companies serving diverse markets with operational histories and tenured management teams.
