  • Profile

Dan Gutfreund Realty Group is partnering with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Re-CYCLE for Kids program to collect new and used bikes for Oakland County children in need. The Gutfreund team will donate 50 new bikes and encourages the community to join them.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office began the Sheriff’s Re-CYCLE for Kids program in 2006 and have since provided hundreds of bicycles to children in need. Sheriff’s office personnel supervise inmate labor in community service to refurbish and repair the bicycles. The program is able to provide the bicycles at no cost with the help of various nonprofit organizations.

New or used bikes and bike accessories may be dropped off from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 inside the 1-800-Self-Storage.com moving truck on Henrietta St., next to Shain Park. Bikes may also be dropped off in advance at 1-800-Self-Storage.com locations in Oak Park or Troy.
