Variety Hearts and Stars Gala

Variety the Children’s Charity hosted its Hearts and Stars Gala on Friday, Oct. 22, at The Townsend Hotel in downtown Birmingham to raise awareness for its core programs. The event, which drew nearly 200 people, raised money for programs that provide support to the unique and special needs of children. Guests enjoyed dinner and a show featuring Mark Randisi and The Motor City Horns. During the evening, Lois Shaevsky, former president of Variety, was honored for her philanthropy and dedication to the cause. The event was underwritten by Michele and Nathan Mersereau, and the presenting sponsor was Lincoln of Troy. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
