The Jenna Kast Believe in Miracles Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Troy that seeks to enrich the lives of Michigan children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. Founded by two then fifth graders in 2005 — one of whom was the older brother of the foundation’s namesake, Jenna, who was battling brain cancer — the organization began by selling wristbands with funds raised going to a gift for a child suffering from life-threatening conditions. Jenna lost her battle in 2010, but the organization continues to provide gifts, along with a trophy acknowledging their courage. Initially providing 2-3 gifts per year, it has grown to support 40-45 gifts averaging approximately $3,300 each.
