The History and Mystery of the Fashion Stylist
The Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit hosted “The History and Mystery of the Fashion Stylist” on Nov. 5 at the Detroit-based museum. The event raised funds for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit’s mission of providing access to educational enrichment and workforce interest for multiple generations through mostly free programming and exhibitions. The event showcased the work of four Detroit-based stylists — A.J. Martina, Couni Young, Elisabeth Kassab, and Chelsea Von Mach — styling models who strolled the event space and a mannequin inspired by the Collected Detroit art pieces on display while also exploring the history of the fashion stylist. The event was sponsored by the Display Group. // Photographs by Lindsay Schweickert
