The Hero Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Waterford Township that seeks to provide financial support to Michigan families impacted by cancer. The organization states many who are diagnosed with cancer lose their jobs or must take time off work to keep up with treatment. As a result, they do not have the income to pay key bills such as mortgages, car payments, and more. It has also assisted with bus passes, groceries, heaters, and clothing. A portion of the proceeds are allocated toward research.
