Since its founding in 1958, the Guidance Center in Southgate has responded to the ever-changing needs of southeast Michigan residents in Wayne County. The organization is a leader in providing quality behavioral health, substance use prevention and treatment, and community outreach services to children, adults and families. Through its 26 programs, the private, nonprofit agency creates new prevention, education, and treatment models to help children and families learn and grow in all aspects of their lives. The Guidance Center also is the only accredited Children’s Advocacy Center in Wayne County. In addition, the Kids-TALK Children’s Advocacy Center provides children impacted by abuse with everything they need to heal and move toward a brighter future.
