Founded in 2010 by eight-year-old Robby Eimers, now 20, The Eimers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Macomb Township that feeds, clothes, and provides other needs for the homeless and hungry in the area. The group also offers a scholarship program for homeless high school seniors, along with backpack and other supply donations. The foundation estimates it has donated thousands of meals and engaged numerous volunteers for the cause since its founding. In addition, Eimers’ sister, Emma, founded the Furry Friends division of the foundation in 2012 at age five to help support homeless, hungry, and endangered animals.
